So basically it's this, ISO setup closes after 10-15 seconds. It doesn't matter if it is installing or not. It just closes. And apparently
I don't know why it is happening, because first of all I had the exact same ISO setup completed before.(one of my hard drives died so I am forced to re-install the program)
And apparently after checking the event viewer there is nothing that indicates any sort of error. So I'm puzzled, but then again my knowledge wouldn't let me understand anything even if it would be there.

I've tried re-installing Daemon tools.(lite version) The Uninstall and then delete all related files, so that it's a clean uninstall. Needless to say, that didn't work. Did the malware and virus scan. I did have some malware in my system, but since after i cleaned i did the same procedure nothing changed. I don't think that malware was at fault here. And virus scan didn't find anything.
So I basically don't know what to do. Help is appreciated.

Hi. I've purchased Daemon Tools and the iSCSI initiator, as well as the iSCSI host app for Windows. I only bought the host app as an "in-case" as I didn't plan to use it.

So I have two Western Digital NAS devices, running Win 2008 Storage Server R2, and bundled with StarWind iSCSI initiator. I've created a 5.5TB iSCSI target on each, and have no trouble connecting. I have a direct cable from the OS/X host to each NAS (crossover cable) and a private LAN subnet on each. (Mac Mini Server, with thunderbolt Dual 10GbE NIC). The third NIC on OS/X is used for LAN/Internet connectivity.

I am constantly plagued with disconnects at random times, for no apparent reason. I'm able to go into the Daemon Tools app and manually reconnect when this happens, but this is a pain to say the least. I don't think the disconnect is DT's fault, but I just want to have a way to script a status check/reconnect.

As a diagnostic measure, I tried deleting the Starwind iSCSI target, and installed the DT windows iSCSI host app. It installed fine, but would not allow me to create a target larger than 2 TB. I went so far as to download the tool called "vhdtool" so I could quickly create a 5.5TB VHD image (without waiting hours) and the DT iSCSI host accepted the VHD image, but when attempting to connect from DT on OS/X, I receive an "insufficient resources" error message. I attached the same VHD image to StarWind and then DT was able to connect to it on OS/X. This whole paragraph was just a sidetrack as I thought maybe Daemon Tools would be more stable having been connected to its' own iSCSI host software.

The real issue I hope to get addressed is having a way to script the reconnect. Sorry for the longwindedness and hopefully noone posts a lmgtfy link.

Running the latest version of Daemon Tools, and OS/X 10.12 with 16GB of RAM. Dedicated "server" machine, stays running for months at a time.

I used Daemon tools lite 10.1 on Windows 10 with no issue.
But, when I updated Daemon tools lite to 10.5 yesterday, I got problem on command line mounting.


Mount switch syntax error happens on CLI mounting on Powershell execution.

On Powershell : Error !

.\DTAgent.exe -mount scsi, 0, "d:\download\A.mdx"

On Cmd : Success
DTAgent.exe -mount scsi, 0, "d:\download\A.mdx"


What happens ? Please answer me.

Hello everyone,

I get BSOD with the above-mentioned error immediately after the restart which is required in order for the SPTD driver to take effect.
I use:
Windows 8.1 Enterprise with Update (x64) - DVD (English)
File Name: en_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x64_dvd_6054 382.iso
SHA1: B7DD748446D89B9449A160CDC24BD282989BBD96
and also last available versions of DAEMON Tools Ultra and the SPTD driver.

I would like to request a MODERATOR to resolve this issue !

I have a fairly old version of Daemon Tools Lite.
I mounted a 800MB ISO (Office 2013 64-bit) as a SCSI drive (from my MSDN subscriptions).
Then I find out I can't install 64-bit if I have a previous Office 32-bit. So I try to unmount but it hangs. I try to uninstall Daemon Tools, and it that triggers unmount and it still hangs.

Help!

DT Pro 8.1.1.0666 cannot make a SCSI or IDE device. When trying to make an IDE device the software hangs, and when I try making a SCSI device I get an error message, "Device can't be created. Install SPTD to work with SCSI and IDE drives.".
SPTD 1.89 64bit is installed however. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1 is the OS. Any help is appreciated!

Hi

I have just purchased and installed DT Lite but now I get a pop up error box that says:

DTAgent.eve - Application Error. 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005).
Click OK to close the application'.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit SP 1 Home Premium

I've googled DTAgent.exe+0xc0000005 but there is information out there.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello, first of all I want to thank the Daemon Tools developers for their honesty when presenting the ad-supported freeware, and offering an affordable paid version as an alternative. I really appreciate it.

I'm using Daemon Tools Lite 4.49 on Windows 7 and would like to update to the latest version, and maybe purchase some features if I like what I see, but before I do that I have some questions, and I'd appreciate if you guys could answer them. Thank you very much.

1) The Daemon Tools Lite page and online installer both say the free version has ads. Does that mean there are ads in the application itself, or only that I see optional offers during the installation?

2) If I choose "free license with ads" using the online installer, does that already grant permission to automatically install software other than Daemon Tools Lite?

3) What information does the installer collect from the computer running it?

4) I saw what seems to be an offline installer of Daemon Tools Lite 10.5.0 on Filehorse. Is it also available on the official site somewhere, or is it exclusive for some reason?

5) I don't seem to have SPTD on my system -I don't see HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\sptd-, so I think it wasn't required with v4.49 for my purpose. Is it always necessary with the new version?

6) Should I uninstall 4.49 before installing 10.5.0? Or is it okay to install on top?

This is getting very VERY frustrating! I have been using this version of dtlite on my win 7 build since 2011.
It hasn't been used a quite a while and of course I tried it several days ago and get the error: core library wasn't found.
Then I tried to uninstall, hmmmm not even listed in add/remove programs. Then I went to the programs x86 folder and tried
to uninstall from there and get error: 1. And I tried to just reinstall but get similar results. I searched all over to find an answer
to no avail.
PLEASE help with this major problem.

I recently purchased a license for DTLite 10 Full Pack. I installed it with identical preferences on two Windows 7 laptops. Both are in normal Windows user accounts, not administrators. Installation was easy and went without trouble. However every time Windows stars, one laptop runs without a hitch. The other requires UAC elevation for the program DTUACHelper.exe. I checked the startup services etc and they appear the same on both machines.

Any ideas?

Hi, after I installed Daemon Tools without errors, I tried to mount an .iso file. When I tried to do something else, the pc stopped working and I restarted it. When it starded-up, there were a black screen with the cursor (the only thing that I can move), and I can't do anything. Probably it's a driver, but I don't know which one. I booted in safe mode (it works) and I uninstalled Daemon Tools Lite using Geek Uninstaller that should completly remove it from the pc but is doesn't works. I have Windows 7 Pro x64

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate any help on this. I accidentally selected to remove an external hardrive on Tools Lite and now it doesn't show up when I plug it in. It shows up in Disk Management but it no longer has a drive letter assigned (was previously D). Does anyone know how I can get it back? I've gone into diskpart and found it there (it's type EE and shown as hidden) but can't seem to override this. Any help would be so appreciated, thank you so much

well that kinda says it. it's a 16 gig (fails on a 32gig for same reason). Trying to make a bootable USB from and ISO of the Windows insider preview of Server2019

can't find a log. the errors don't make sense since the ISO is only around 4gig

insufficient space?

I tried to use Tools Ultra and at launch, I was presented with a "Seems you haven't validated your license for some time..." error message, but when I click on "Activate" it fails to connect to any server. It never ran into this issue before and it can't connect even if I turn the Windows firewall off completely.

Any ideas on what suddenly changed?

I have a paid license for Daemon Tools Lite and I can't install it on my Windows 10 Home PC.

When I run the installer for version 10.9 , the usual message of allowing the installer to change settings pops up, but after that nothing (no pop-up, no error, no tray icon - just nothing).

I tried to install older versions (10.8 and 10.71) and there the installer did run, but when I got to the stage of choosing the components to install, the installer just exited with no warning whatsoever (after that, I get nothing).

with all theses attempts (the 3 installers), I rebooted twice, but nothing happens.

I found an error similar to mine here:

where the solution suggested was disabling the antivirus and windows defender. I tried that to no avail.

Can anyone please help me with this annoying problem?
