DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device Failed

Hi,
I've seen a similar post somewhere, however, nothing works for me so far.
I have installed Daemon Tools Lite 4.47.1.0335 but when I try to add new virtual device this message shows: DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device Failed

(if I open daemon tools, right click on .iso file the mount option is gray and cannot be clicked)
I have tried to update the device software (setting manually the driver software location to C:\Windows\inf) but then I get this message:
(the virtual device is under "other devices" on the left as my laptop doesn't have disk drive)

I have tried the Microsoft fix-it but it doesn't detect any problems, I have also tried deleting the upper and lower case registers and then installing it again but the registers simply does not exist so there was nothing for me to delete
I also found this as solution : Rename "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\INFCACHE.1" file and reboot your system; but I cannot do it since I need administrator permission and it does not allow me to delete it even thought I am the administrator and the only user on the laptop
I have also went through everything on here but still nothing: No virtual drive in My Computer | DAEMON Pro Help

Do you have any other suggestions  I would really appreciate any help!
(ps I am using windows 7, 64 bit)

Hey,
Daemon tools worked great for me untill a while ago when suddenlly the virtual drives disappeared from "My Computer". I tried uninstalling and installing again.
I also saw that in the preferences there's no letter for the drives and when I try to assign one, I get a message "Engine error code: 8".

Anyone? Please?

Thanks in advance!

Crysis 2 Retail Disc Imaging Method?

I've read in a few places Crysis 2 uses Solidshield.

What method should I use to make a disc image of my retail game?

Daemon Tools Pro Advanced does not have Solidshield as Device Profile option in the Make Disc Image function.

Deleted Mounted images before Unmounting

So i think i deleted a couple images before i unmounted them by mistake. now im stuck with these 2 unusable phantom drives. you double click one and it says "please insert a disk into removable disk (D:)" and the other one says "you need to format the disk in drive (H:) and then when you try to format it it says its protected. that being said, the problem with this is that im trying to mount a new image and my computer is saying that ive reached the maximum amount of virtual drives that i can have. so i uninstalled daemon tools to try to get that to work and it didnt. before i did that though i went to device manager and uninistaled all the drives that arent really in my computer and they left the device manager screen but they stay in the my computer screen and i still cant mount any new images even after installing the new daemon tools.

so, my question is, how do i get rid of these drives so i can mount images again?

Unable to add SCSI adaptor because drivers are not digitally signed

When I try to add a SCSI adaptor, it fails and tells me that Daemon Tools is unable to add an adaptor. Checking Device Manager, I see a controller driver attempting to install, but it fails because the driver is not digitally signed.

I fixed this problem by booting Windows in test mode, at which point I repeated the process and the driver "A4UR4YS3 IDE Controller" installed and a SCSI drive was successfully added. Strangely, I could not find the driver file at its stated location (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\a4ur4ys3.sys) - my initial idea was to use DSEO and digitally sign it. The driver is made by Disc Soft Ltd. and says it is not digitally signed.

My question is: is this a Daemon Tools problem, or is that driver being provided by my motherboard? I'm not sure where to start with troubleshooting so I can successfully add a SCSI drive when not in test mode.

My computer specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-M PRO
Disc drive: LG BH12LS38

I have confirmed that there are no upper or lower filters attached to the disc drive.

Thanks for any help!

Server 2012 Issues and Windows 8 Issues

Hi there...having a ton of issues trying to get DT to work and provide the virtual drive on Window 8 64-bit and Server 2012 which is also 64-bit.

Have tried everything - clean install of both on 5 diff. setups - nothing on them, literally clean installs of the OS and installed DT...I can see the DT drives listed under Device Manager and even under disk management, with drive letters - I can even see them in My Computer with legitimate drive letters - BUT, DT will fail to add the device - every time I try to add it just says Unable to add device - it will increase the count of the drives in My Computer and under Device Management BUT it will not list them in the DT software...so I can't mount an ISO, etc...

Have tried googling the crap out of this and have found nothing relevant to the issue, even tried things from Windows 7 fixes, nothing...

UAC has been tried on and off.
Also Firewall on and off
No A/V or any other type of security software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

hello,

I have an EyeTV One (digitenne, for TV on your computer) which I want to share from computer A to computer B.
Computer B does see the EyeTV One after setup, but Windows Media Center tells me it could not find any channels whenever I let WMC search for it.

Computer A is an windows 7 machine, Computer B is an windows 8 machine. I use the latest version of the Daemon Tools USB program. I already tried to use different drivers for the EyeTV, run the programs in administrator mode, xp compatibility.

I thought, I could do it with the "mount" switch in command line, but it only allows you to mount a specific image.

Windows Cannot Access Disk

Whenever I try to mount an .iso image with DT Lite, and then open the drive with the .iso, I always get the notification 'Windows cannot access this disc. The disc might be corrupt. Make sure that the disc uses a format Windows recognizes. If the disc is unformatted, you need format it before using it.' I've mounted the .iso before with DT [it's sat on my computer for months now], so I know it's not the .iso's problem.
I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit edition.

Problems with SecuROM message and Wolfenstein DVD (2009)

Hi,

I try to search in the forums for an answer to my problem, but I still have problems with SecuROM.

I have the latest DT Ultra 1.1, I create the DVD image using Securom profile, OLD SecuRom profile doesn't work at all. Try different speed and parameters, the image is created, but when I start the game, I have a message saying: "there's a incompatibility with my emulation software, disable it and put back the physical media."

My config
- Windows 8 x64
- Uninstall Kaspersky (I have the internal Windows 8 AV)
- Latest SPTD (I don't know how to use it or enable it, but it's installed)
- help!

Thank you

Okay so this problem sounds like an easy fix(it might be). But I have tried everything I can think of and posting on a form is my last resort.

What is happening is The error in the title appears whenever I attempt to access a drive(open it with explorer basically) however I can mount things to it with my Daemon tools lite I just cant open them.

Now for the annoying part. It seems to me I just don't have owner ship of this which should be an easy fix but I am an admin. When I access the security tab it says that under current owner [Unable to display current owner.]. It will not allow me to change the owner I get the same Access Denied as when I try and open it to with explorer.

One more thing I have tried changing ownership using the computers built in admin account with the same results.

I really need some help

Additional info you might like. This same problem happens with any new drives I make as I can also delete them. It doesn't help.

I have attempted using other virtual drive software (magic disc) Same results.

anything else you need to know just ask.

Thanks ahead of time I hope you can help me out.

Help with mounting multiple images to drive

$

Having a slight issue, wondering if anyone could help me.

I'm running Daemon Tools Ultra, and trying to mount two images to one drive. Unfortunately, it's set to only allow one image per drive, and I can't find the setting to make it more. According to another forum post, I can do this from the tray icon, but this is not the case, the only options for it are "Virtual Devices", "Image Catalog", "Recently Used Images" and "Help".

Can anyone assist me with this?

Weird Problem with DTLite

Daemon Tools Lite

I've been using daemon for so long without any problems, now looks like when i try to mount any image, the computer itself collapses, i mean like, i mount an image and daemon freezes i can still open stuff but daemon freezes and looks like it glitches when i try to shutdown or restart the pc forcing me to do turn it off from the cpu button, i've already tried to uninstall, even the uninstaller collapses, and takes too much time to close the process from the task manager, the only way to uninstall it was deleting the program folder when the process of daemon closes after a while, and then i clean the registry with the "daemon tools lite, dtlite, disc soft and dtsoft" tags and uninstall the cdrom driver also cause i think is a problem with the cdrom virtual driver registry or just the cdrom virtual driver cause when i reinstall it daemon opens but when i'm mounting an image it freezes and can't be opened again it just stucks there in the task manager and glitches shutdown and restart options. I've uninstalled/installed so many times still the same results, deleted registries of daemon, making a whole new install and nothing, is weird cause like 3 - 4 days ago it was working fine and i haven't messed up with registry or something since i had this problem today .-.

Daemon Usb tools problem

$

I am trying to get Daemon USB tools to work correctly.

I have two computers, both windows 7 64 bit. Both have daemon tools usb installed on them. Both have the usb devices checked to be shared. They both see each other fine and I can open a server to them.

Computer A has no problem accessing anything on B. Computer B constantly gets a failed messaged when attempting to access computer A. This is the opposite of what I want. I need things to access by computer B from computer A not the other way around. If I move the devices to computer B, A can access them just fine. But when attached to computer A, B will fail to connect every time.

How can this be and how can I fix it?

Recover SafeDisc bad copies

$

I was not aware that a few game CDs I copied were protected by SafeDisc 2.x, and therefore I did not use RAW DAO mode to copy those CDs.

Now I cannot find the original CDs and only have the bad copies. And they do not work for obvious reason. For example, the "autorun.exe" simply launches and exits silently.

I can create ISO images from those bad copies, and mount them through Daemon Tools Lite with SafeDisc emulation enabled, but still they do not work.

So my question is, is it possible to recover the bad copies through DTLite SafeDisc emulation, so I can still run "autorun.exe" and install the games?
