Daemon Tools not installing.

How do you have a Auto-create an ISO from DVD/BR Insertion?

I'm running Windows 10 and I cannot even get the Autoplay/Autorun to work either. I have followed almost every guide out the enabling the feature. I even have the Autoplay option in the context menu when you right click on the drive. Does anyone have any tips or guides on how to make this happen.

Essentially I'm backing up all my movies to a Plex Server.

What I'm looking for Daemon Tools to do:
1.) Insert disk
2.) Upon detection, Daemon tools starts and creates a new .iso file in a per-determined location with a file name that is pulled from the title of the disk.
3.) When it is done, it ejects the disk.

The only user interaction I'm trying to achieve here is swapping the disk and hit the open/close tray button.
(My wife has volunteered to do this while I'm at work, so I need to keep it simple. Wife approval factor is 6/10 is a must :P )

Engine loading failed

Hi, I'm Simone, nice to meet you all! I have trouble with Daemon Tools Lite and I could not find a solution searching in the forum. I downloaded Daemon Tools years ago, but nearly one month ago I started it and it gave me an error message: Error: Engine loading was failed. If I try to Uninstall it, just an error message appears that says simply "1". If I try to install it again, the setup is unable to disinstall the older version too.
My specs are:

HP Pavilion dv5
Windows Vista sp 2

I don't know what version of Daemon Tools is installed on my pc and I don't know how to check since I can't start it.
If you can help me please let me know.

command line does not work in Daemon tools

Good afternoon.

Recently I got a basic license of the "daemon tools." There are currently two problems. (My operating system is Windows 10 64-bit PRO)
1) After upgrading to version 10.0 the program does not seem to accept more command lines that send him.
* Type the following command line:

DTAgent.exe -mount, scsi, H, "Addams Family [U] [CD] [TGXCD1019] [ICOM Simulations] [1991] [PCE] [rigg].bin", and the program responds by saying: "unknown parameter on the command line".

The second problem is that whenever I restart the computer the virtual drive that was created by me is dismantled.

How do I solve these problems? Already I researched the site and you did not find the solution.

Daemon tools wont let me open file explorer?

I recently updated to Windows 10 Pro, (automatic, not my choice) and I went to open file
explorer the next time I turned on my laptop but it said "This app can't run on this PC" and
underneath that message said "Daemon Tools doesn't work on this version of winds. Learn
more"

I wasn't even aware I had it on my laptop, since I let my ex use it to play a game for
a day as he stayed at mine. I had no problems but as soon as the laptop updated it
wont let me do anything on the laptop other than go on Chrome. I can't access any files,
and it wont even let me uninstall it :frown:

Windows 10 Pro, version 1607. Samsung laptop. Any help? Really annoyed with the fact I
wasted so much time today trying to uninstall it and had no luck. :dispirited:

Could not uninstall OLD version

i wanted to install a new version of daemon tools but i am unable to remove an old version of daemon tools lite from the system. whether i uninstall through Daemon Tool or from the control panel -> programs it keeps giving me a vague error message with a big RED X and the number 1. i tried to install a new version then upgrade or remove from there but still the same thing. clean boot through msconfig also did not work. when i reboot through safe mode the error message did not appear and i can uninstall but the uninstall progress bar gets stuck near 40% and stays that way for 47 minutes. i need to manually uninstall daemon tools by deleting its folder, registry, and system files

Anybody know how ? any help is greatly appreciated

Virtual Burner / Writable Virtual Device: 10+ mins to burn an 8 min track

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing slow burns to a Writable Virtual CD?

I ran some tests using Windows 10 native burner (using Windows Explorer) and burning with iTunes.

Burning a 7:33 (mm:ss) track to a physical CD-R took between 1-2 mins for both W10 and for iTunes.

Burning to a DT Writable Virtual CD had a dramatically different result (a few seconds vs. 10 minutes):

Note: Only burn option in W10 was 48x whereas iTunes max was 24x

xtensa OCD daemon v9.0.4 not compatible for windows 10?

Hi,

I'm using windows 10 OS 64-bit OS, and it seems like I cant install xtensa OCD daemon tools driver v9.0.4, is it because it's not compatible with win10? Please help.

Driver details:
FTDI CDM Driver package - Bus/D2XX driver & VCP driver.

Daemon Tools no longer works after Windows 10 update

My windows 10 daemon tools no longer works. Windows 10 just had an update that seems to broke the app/file. Get a smart screen notification that is SUPER annoying every 20 seconds daemon tools tries to open itself and smart screen
says that it cant. So I get 30 notifications. Please tell me your working on a fix =P. Cant uninstall or play with any of the Daemon tools files because they are no longer compatible.. Neither can I play with any of the smartscreen settings cuz windows doesnt allow it!

Bad block error~~

I have successfully made three disc images with DAEMON Tools Lite. I then tried to make an image of some more discs, these ended in this error "Operation hit a ECC/EDC bad (recoverable) block (1228)" or something like that. I've tried every solution I could think of, reinstalling, using different formats, trying it on different computers, etc.

ANY help would be appreciated.

PS. One other question I have is, is there any preference between using the .MDX format or the .ISO format? What are the differences between the two? Are there any advantages of either?

am missing something...

upgraded from DT Pro 6 to DT Pro 7

virtual drive went corrupt.

uninstalled DT Pro 7

uninstalled SPTD

cleared out
%ProgramData%\DAEMON Tools Pro\
%AppData%\DAEMON Tools Pro\

rebooted, reinstalled both

checked Windows Event Viewer, saw something that made me very sad...

Updated to Version 10.4 and detected Win32/sasquor Browser modifier.

Hey everyone,
Fresh account because got a little worried about the subject.
Been using Free licence of Daemon Tools since forever and never had detected any kind of Virus/Malware.
I've just updated to the last version and, without enabling access of third party software installations, my AV, as soon as the installation ended, detected a Browser Modifier named sasquor.
Did some research and apparently this is not a low-level virus and can really harm your system.
Also couldn't find anything related on this forum.
I've proceeded to remove it with the Anti-virus.
Is it safe to keep using Daemon Tools, should I be worried about the virus not being completely removed?
Or all this situation is just normal?

Cue + FLAC Files not supported?

Tried to post this a few minutes ago but I can't seem to find it?

Tried to Burn an audio CD by using the "Import Cue File" option but it does not seem to add the audio files associated with the Cue file.

What am I doing wrong? I can add the files themselves but I don't think that maintains the complete integrity of the original CD structure.

Any help much appreciated.

Using Daemon Tools Ultra Latest version on Windows 10 Enterprise.

unable to install SPTD driver on Windows 8

Hello, I used DT only once long ago but also way before virtual drives and images became as popular as today (2009ish).

My new laptop has Windows 8 and doesn't have a CD drive, and while Windows 8 has its own native ISO-mount feature, it seems an issue (or an oversight by all the developers) was that some old software and games still want to make sure they are in a CD drive to run and not just install (I guess because of SafeDisc and all that).
Recently I tested DT on a virtual drive (using SCSI) on my older laptop (Windows 7) where it was tenacious getting it to work there as well but it eventually worked perfectly for a 2006 DVD game (where I used SCSI).

Unfortunately can't say the same for my Windows 8 laptop, because when I choose to install the SPTD driver my computer restarts and the Windows repair screen launches and then I have to revert the driver to use my laptop. Maybe I can upgrade to Windows 10 but I'm a little skeptical about that.

unable to install SPTD driver

When I try using an SPSI drive to play old games I need to install the SPTD driver, and then when that happens and I reboot my system to complete the installation, it won't start so then I have to load a previous restore point so that I can use my PC. I am using Windows 8.

Any help would be appreciated.

Problem after Windows 10 anniversary update

Hi, first post here, so be gentle please!

I had an older version of DT Pro on my PC (version 5.4 iirc) which is running Windows 10.

I use DT Pro infrequently and afaiaa it has been sitting happily in the background running
(at least I have not had cause to use it and notice it was not running).

I had the Windows anniversary update come through last night on my PC and I got a pop up message
saying that DT Pro will not run on this version of Windows.

So this morning I went to my DT Pro account, bought an upgraded licence to the latest version
and then went to install it. At this point the installation package tries to uninstall the old DT Pro
which then triggers the pop up message 'DT PRo does not work on this version of Windows' and
you get stuck in an endless loop - you cannot upgrade to a working version without uninstalling
the old version and you can't uninstall the old version as it does not run.

So does anyone have any manual uninstall instructions please for removing the old version
(including the registry elements etc) so that I can successfully apply the upgraded licence I just bought?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Can't Remove BD-ROM Windows 10

Hi Guys ,
I need Help
I had new windows 10 education installed with Deamon Tools pro advanced 5.0.0316.0317 installed
I create 4 BD-ROM's and every thing was fine.
After Windows installed updates it remove my DT and never accept to reinstall in as its not compatible
as windows told me, I downloaded and installed a newer version (DT Ultra 4) witch is Compatible ,

the problem is that Windows removed my old DT pro but leave the 4 BD-ROM's and the new DT ULtra
doesn't recognize them,
I tried to uninstall them via Device-Manager but every restart a pop-up messages appears and they back to appear.
I don't like to just disable the from Device-Manager.

Can any one help me to remove them permanently?
