DT Lite 4.49.1 cannot create drives in Win8.1

I get an popup message that says the drive cannot be created when I attempt to create both the DT and SCSI drives. The drives do not show up on on the DT program, but when I go to device manager they are there under the DVD/CD-ROM devices catagory with a warning symbol next to it as if the driver is not working correctly.

I'm wondering if the new DT versions are even optimized for Windows 8.1 and if this is a common issue. I'm also wondering if there's anything I can do. This problem occurs on both my PC and laptop, both running Windows 8.1. Thank you.

I read a thread on here that said DT sometimes causes the Windows OS to get stuck in a boot loop due to interference with some antivirus programs. I think that is what happened to me. A day after installing the newest version of Daemon Tools Lite from the disk-tools website, my laptop (running Windows 8.1) would get an error (IHSL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) at only about 2 seconds into startup and restart.

I could not boot into safe mode or do a system recovery from my last restore point. It has already cost me upwards of 100 dollars to save my files after a system refresh. I've had nothing but trouble with this software, but I'm wondering if there are any known workarounds to prevent this fatal error from occuring again.

DTLite+Win 7 64bit cannot mount any image

Hello everybody.

I have a little bit strange problem. I have win7 64bit and the latest DTLite. When I install the windows and dtlite everything is working. I can mount images and install from there. But yesterday I mount an images, and the windows wirte this.
The windows cant access the disk. The disc may be corrupted. Please check the the file fomat is the supported. If the disc not formated need to format.

I try reinstall the deamon, try another virtual disc program but the error is the same. The strange that at my another pc I have the same problem, and I need to reinstall the windows to solve this.

[SCSI - 0 ] Invalid ERROR!

I know this topic has been discussed over and over but previous suggestions doesn't seem to work for me. I have tried deleting the upper&lower filters - still nothing. I have tried going to device manager and updating driver - it did find the so called 'Daemon TOOLS virtual bus' however, it is giving me this statement: "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. DAEMON TOOLS virtual bus. Access is denied."

I have Windows 7 Starter; 32-bit OS. I am using DT-LITE FREE v4.49.1 (with SPTD 1.86). Please help! Thank you very much.

Problems With NOLF2 Securom

Hi,

I just bought an old copy of No One Lives Forever 2 and have test installed it and it works fine.

However, I have also tried to back it up to msd/mdf and run it from the image and I cannot make it work. I have patched NOLF2 to v1.3 which uses Securom 4.84.64.0049 and have gone through a few old posts about problems getting this to work in DT.

The only posts I can find specifically referencing this version talk about similar symptoms (start game up, get to launcher, hit play, then LithTech initialises, does its check, then nothing further happens, presumably because it failed its check). They mention that maybe there is blacklisting happening and that it will be patched up in the next version of DT, but this doesn't appear to be happening in my versions (DT Pro 4.36.0309.0160 or DT Ultra 1.10.0103).

Can anyone help?

Cannot Make Image of USB - Stuck 'Refreshing'

I'm utilizing a software package which requires a USB to be inserted in order for the software to launch. It's a pain to have to carry around the USB with me wherever I go, so I'm attempting to make an image of the USB and just keep it loaded.
However the software creators seem to have protected the USB? Whenever I try to run Daemon Tools while the USB is plugged in I become unable to access any files on the USB, further when I attempt to 'create an image' of the drive Daemon Tools just gets stuck on "Current Disk: Refreshing..." infinitely.

Anyone know how I could get around this?

So, using Daemon Tools Lite, I have played several games, such a Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrouds, Doom II, as well as others. However, this time around, I have decided to play Fallout 2; so I followed all of the steps I had before, and the game installed with no problems. Then, when I tried to start up the game, it said it required the CD to play. So in an attempt to fix this, I made a new Disc Drive, and mounted my ISO file of Fallout 2 onto it, but I got the same response.
Does anybody have an idea as to why this could be? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

DAMON Tool uninstall

Hi,
I had installed DT Lite on my Laptop. Obviously I did some wrong steps and the program stopped working. I tried to uninstall and after that install it again few times with no success. After that I followed the manual uninstallation following the link Removing DAEMON Tools Lite manually | daemon-help.com. I did everything step by step. When I tried to uninstall DAEMON Tools Virtual bus from “Device manager” it appeared to be impossible. In addition I have many “Other devices” with “exclamation mark” means something wrong. Please help me to clear or fix all bad remaining from the DT Lite and to install a new one.
The machine is Lenovo 1141-JGG with Win 7 on it.

DVD ISO modified is detect as CD

Hello,

I try to make mod for old games and i need to modify some files.

I'm using daemon tools pro, wich make a good job, but when i launch the .iso the console detect it as
Quote:
isoFile open ok: C:\*****\ISO_mod\mod(2).iso
Image type = CD
When the original Iso is detect as
Quote:
isoFile open ok: C:\****\ISO_original\original.iso
Image type = DVD
So, someone could help me ?

DT Lite 4 Not Responding Windows 8.1

When launching the program, it stops responding instantly and does not resolve. Event viewer says the problem is with engine.dll. Have already reinstalled and run as administrator. I can see the drives in Windows.

I've recently upgraded from daemon tools lite to daemon tools pro. I had 3 virtual drives with lite, and when I uninstalled lite (automatically done by daemon) and installed daemon tools pro, there was only one left, and when I try to add one, it says: "you already have the maximum number of virtual drives". I've tried to delete the last one, now I still can't add any more. I've tried to reinstall, also no success. does anyone know how to add more?

(Windows 7, 64 bit, Daemon tools pro standard edition, 5.2.0.0348, SPDT version: not installed (no idea what that means))

"New Hardware Found" on every boot

Hi All,
I'm using DT Light version 4.46 with SPTD 1.83 on WinXP Home. Every time I boot my machine and/or when I first mount an image file I get the "found new hardware...unknown device...." and am subsequently ask to install the driver/software. Apart from that everything works OK using a DT device, however, when I install a virtual SCSI device it says there was an error and I can't mount any images (not that I am sure what the difference between DT and a SCSI is). If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.

How to Fix Runtime Error?

Hi I'm New to Daemon Forum :p
And my problem was not so common so I can't find answers over internet , my problem occur few days ago.
My Daemon just quickly crash and I can't mount , I even re-open the DTPro and still crash , I reboot my Laptop still crash ... And now I tried to Uninstall and 'Runtime Error' occur so I Manually Uninstall all Daemon Tools file ..
And now I tried to re-Install Daemon Tools 'Runtime Error' occurs again! ...
I fully scanned my All HardDrive and No Virus found ...
And now I'm Damned I can't play my games >.< that needed my mounts ..

And also I've noticed I manually Uninstalled the Virtual cd Drives and After I reboot , it appears again @.@ ..

"Unable to mount image. Invalid image file"

Hi,
I have some DVDs that were made of our home videos. I want to make backup copies so I used Daemon Tools to create disc images of them. I tried both mdx and mds/mdf formats. The disc image generation appears to work perfectly, but when I try to mount the image I get the error message "Unable to mount image. Invalid image file".

Any suggestions?

I have tried different software, different isos, but the result is always the same. I have two hard drives on my computer, whenever i tried mounting on a different drive, i didnt get the error. how can i get it to work on my primary drive

DT Lite killed my computer?

My computer has had to be factory f**king reset 5+ times in the past year alone. I didn't know why, figured my computer is worth crap but I've been watching very closely about what I've been doing recently to better figure problems out. Guess what the last thing was that I did on my computer before it blue screened this time? Mounted an image with Daemon Tools Lite and restarted my computer to be welcomed with a blue screen, error saying a drive is unbootable like always, have to reset my computer again because it can't fix the issue. Not too surprising if it isn't even something that it can fix.

Every single time this has happened I've lost a lot of valuable things. Art, Knowledge, Work, etc. I even blamed PJ64 for that BSoD crap, but has it been DT Lite all along?

I guess never have an image mounted on a virtual drive when you restart or turn off your computer?#out4blood:mad:

No post no bios Please help!

After installing Daemon lite (Never even used it) My computer did not get a post / bios upon restart. According to what I've read this program doesn't alter anything related to this but it is THE ONLY thing that changed since my last restart. So I must conclude that it is this software doing it...

What can I do to fix this? My computer still boots up but there is no post / bios and if I spam a key to get into bios it just hangs and never goes to windows. (just the black screen)

So after reinstating this program again and again, i still have the same problem.

It appears, that I am unable to add virtual drives and mount isos.

I dont know what to do, would appropriate any suggestions.

Disc imaging stuck on 0%

i got Daemon tools pro trial and wanted to see if i could backup one of my old games.
in this case Rayman 3 cd 1 its on 650mb this is the error i got



this continues well into 15 minutes, with no change to the 0% done.
i have tried restarting computer, setting read speed lower, still same problem.
any fix or am i doing anything wrong?
