Daemon Tools USB -sharing local iPhone to remote virtual USB - problem with iTunes

I'm currently evaluating Daemon USB Tools, and I have a problem trying to pass an iPhone to a virtual machine.

I've installed the demo version of Daemon USB Tools in both the physical computer where the iPhone is plugged (Windows 7) and in the virtual computer (Windows 8.1 Pro) (which is running inside another physical computer). Both Windows 7 and 8.1 can see each other through the network, firewall is not an issue.

I'm able to share and connect my iPhone. However, in the VM Windows 8, it shows up in the device manager as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" with an exclamation mark and an device status of "This device cannot start. (Code 10) The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device.". iTunes cannot find it, nor Windows Explorer.

Any idea of what could be going on? Is it even possible to use Daemon USB Tools for this usage? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

DAEMON Tools Ultra: Limiting number of mounted images?

I'm having a problem with DAEMON Tools Ultra keeping a large number of images mounted.

I remember that past versions of this package allowed me to specify a cap on the number of mounted drives, but I can't find any comparable feature in the most recent version. At present, I only need to mount one image at a time, so I'd like to set it to a maximum of 1 and have the selection of a new image unmount the previous image.

Any way to accomplish that with the most recent version of DAEMON Tools Ultra?

Daemon Tools Pro 6 - virtual drive disappearing after restart

Hello, since I installed the new version, my virtual drive disappears every time I restart my PC and I need to activate it again. I am using one DT virtual drive and Windows 8.1 64-bit.

CD-Cops v1.55 #5103 protected CD-ROM

Hello everyone,

I bought this today and decided to make a backup copy of its CD-ROM using DAEMON Toos Lite. Unfortunately when I mount the newly created *.MDX/*.MDS/*.ISO file and run the .EXE file of the programme I get the following message. It seems that this is a copy protected CD-ROM and CD-Cops is the name of its copy protection... Any ideas on what I should do in order to back up this CD-ROM successfully WITHOUT damaging it ? Last but not least I would also like to ask you what reading speed I should pick in order to create the PERFECT disc image and what type of file I should save my disc image as ? I have read that slower takes longer but reduces the risk of errors in the imaging process so I think the slower the better... Correct me If I am wrong !

I would like to request a MODERATOR to answer my questions !

Daemon Tools Pro Advanced and old safedisc images = Insert Correct Disk

I am using Windows 7 x64 SP1 and Daemon Tools Pro Advanced 6.0.0 to create backups of my old games that uses safedisc 1 and 2 protection.
No matter what I do, the image files never works when I load the MDS file in the Daemon
virtual drive.
I tried to make the image in another computer, that uses Windows 8.1 and the same occurs
I chose the correct profile (safedisc) and the format MDS/MDF to create the disc image.
What am I doing wrong?
the most weird is that this problem occurs with the every prior version of Daemon since 4.3

DTPro Advanced 6 mounting new drives for every ISO

I upgraded from Daemon Tools Pro Advanced 540-0377 to 600-0445. And now I have this unexpected behaviour.

I have a bunch of ISO files that I usually just double-click on in Windows explorer to mount. The problem is that after the upgrade, DT mounts a new drive automatically for each ISO file. And if I mount the same ISO again, I get a "such image is already mounted".

What I expected to happen when double-clicking on an ISO, is DT to mount it on the already existing virtual SCSI drive. And if the same ISO was already mounted, it would just remount it on the same Virtual SCSI drive. This is how it used to work in version 540-0377.

This new way that I believe might just be a bug!? causes various problems. Particularly when launching ISO from my Media Center Setup.

Rename a B6T file

Hi

I got some B6T files from a friend.
However they are named disk1, 2 etc.
Is there a way to rename the files to identify what they are?
The files comes in sets of three and if I rename one file then they will not mount.

DT Gadget UI is 'empty' after DT Pro Update -> 6.1

Hello all,

after updating my DT Pro to ver. 6.1 a couple of days ago, the Gadget has quit working! When I manually launch it from the Win7 menu I am offered an Install with the MSG that it is already installed - and 'Do you wish to replace it with DTPro.Gadget 1.0.1.0?'
After replacing the gadget, it still does not appear on the desktop and when I manually drag the gadget from the gadgets toolbar, the UI is blank = no controls other than the Close / Drag control.

Any ideas?

Have to install game after every time I play.

When ever I play my game i installed and when I close it, there is no shortcut or anything to go directly to the game. So i have to re install the game after every time I play. I am not using a disk to play my game.

Hello,
I have installed the DAEMON Tools Lite 5.01.0406 (paid version) under Windows 7 (64B). I can't find the option to create a virtual drive. There are no more buttons "Add DT Virtual drive". In the previous versions this was possible.

Hello

I really hope this is the right place to post.

It appears as though the trial worked better for me than the purchased lifetime licence in that I made an mdx image of my disk, mounted as a SCSI to a physical drive and it worked - no "Insert Disc/Close" popup.

Now that I have purchased a licence, it is giving me the popup while using the exact same image on a different PC.

OSes in question:
Windows 8.1 Laptop with physical drive
MacBook Pro (Yosemite) laptop without physical drive (VirtualBox Windows 10)
Windows PC 8.1 with two physical DVD/Bluray drives
Windows 7 Ultimate PC (Final resting place of the mdx if possible)

|File that is (infected) : x________1.exe on the root of the DVD.

What happens - without a physical drive to map to (SCSI), I get the error about not having the disk inserted.

Windows 10 (VM) does not allow the driver to be installed- reboots and restarts install of driver over and over.

OSX has no physical drive so even crossover or wine may be problematic

What I want to do- no matter the device I am using, I would like to be able to do my course.

Why do I not just put the disc in: Because it is extremely slow and laggy due to over-use of the last year, plus the disc has to spin up and down to proceed through the screens - adding ~20 seconds to each screen- even though some screens only have the info "Click Next to Proceed". Frustrating.

I appreciate you reading this and look forward to the community's experts suggestions.

DT Pro Adv 6.1 stopped working and is now corrupt despite reinstall...

It worked fine for over a year with no problems.
It worked fine a month ago when I last used it.

now, however, the virtual device I had (IDE) has no drive letter.
I couldn't re-assign a drive letter.
I can't add new devices at all.

The only things that have changed in the past month are Windows Updates.

I completely uninstalled DT Pro, completely uninstalled SPTD. rebooted, cleaned out %temp% and %windir%\Temp

DT Pro & SPTD reinstalled with no problems.

rebooted.

however I can't add ANY devices to DT Pro...

so I uninstalled again, cleaned temps again, rebooted, ran windows' system file checker, rebooted, reinstalled DT Pro & SPTD

adding a DT Virtual Drive just makes the sound you get when a device is connected then disconnected
adding SCSI device fails with error "DAEMON Tools Pro driver error: 8184"
adding an IDE device just fails/hangs and when you click on it windows makes the sound you hear when you are clicking on an unfocussed window that can't be focused (and thus has to be terminated via task manager)

Emulation software detected with a backup copy

Hi,

Some weeks ago I've bought a BNIB CD (Dictionary). The first thing I did was a back up copy with Nero (.iso) just copying files to my HD and then burning them, but I've never tested the copy.
Yesterday my stupid brother brought my CD to his school for a classwork and someone stole it!

Now I've just tested under my Windows XP Pro SP3 my iso copy with daemon tools lite 4.30.1 and it opens a gray window where it's written [I try to translate it] "An emulation software was detected" and "Do you want to analyse booting? Start/No". Below that it says the software was developed to verify any HW/SW incompatibilities on my PC and the analysis will be run as in the Microsoft msinfo32.exe's way. At the end it says this analysis is on voluntary base.

I've tried activating all my DT's emulation options: safedisc, securom, laserlook, rmps but it was useless.
I can add that I had done a similar back up copy with a previous version of that dictionary and it runs under my DT. So I've opened both ones and noted they're very similar but some .manifest files that are present only on the latest release I'd got (the stolen one).

Any help will be appreciated.
