DT Lite 5.0.1.0407 Windows 10 Cannot Locate CD-ROM Error

Running Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10041 Evaluation Copy mounted Command and Conquer Generals Mini Image and try to run game but gives cannot find
CD-ROM error, this image works perfectly on Windows 7 and 8.1. (DT Lite) Tried mounting as Virtual drive and SCSI
with same error. Tried changing drive letters with same problem. Any ideas? TIA.

Silent Installation / Daemon Tools Lite 10.

Hi everyone.

Are you added command line parameters for silent installation for version 10?

Because, old parameters (switchs) are not working fine now:

I have looked in the settings, but I can't see it.

Also. There doesn't appear to be any copy protection emulation anymore.

Hi guys,

I've been creating images of my old games discs as a backup. Not to mention it's way easier having an image than digging out old discs.

The first game I ran into a problem with was Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Disc 1 burned no problem with IMGBurn, but Disc 2 gave me L-EC Uncorrectable Error. After 20 attempts it would fail. The guys at IMGBurn said this was due to copyright protection. I checked Daemon Tools database and there it was... SafeDisc protection. Google also mentioned only Disc 2 as having the protection.

I loaded up Daemon Tools Lite and went to create image, putting the speed at 4x just in case of any problems. Well Daemon Tools also failed...

This is what I got:

I thought Daemon Tools had no problems with SecuROM or SafeDisc?

Well I kept googling and I found a thread on this forum with someone saying Alcohol 52/120% could handle my issue.

So I got it, left all settings default. The post I read said it has to read 10000 disc read errors before it can create the image. The guy said it would take 30 minutes...

It took in total 1:49:20 to do this 800mb disc. That is ridiculous! It only started working after 7775 disc read errors.

Yes it worked. I installed the game, tested it, plays fine. Can't complain there.

But is this really a common issue with SafeDisc? Nearly 2 hours to remove the protection?

Why cant Daemon Tools do this anymore?

How do I get back the DT version before 10. I liked it when I had a physical virtual drive and tray agent that is now missing from this awful version. Also to add, why is the past free versions abilities now a personal paid license? Are we getting greedy now?

What Happened to Command Line Support?

On previous versions of Daemon Tools, I was able to use the command line to mount ISOs as mentioned on this page: Command line parameters | daemon-help.com

However, I have tried the same commands in DT Lite 10 and they do not seem to work. Typing any command launches the GUI instead of doing what I expect.

Any thoughts on this issue?

Windows 7 problem: Disc Soft Bus Service is not running

I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite 10 and it doesnt work on my Windows 7 64bit . When i run it ,an error window pops up that says "Initializing Error" "Dick Soft Bus Service is not running". Any suggestions on how to fix it ?

Really, installing a "search engine" or as it really is a browser hi-jacker. How dare you secretly install this unwanted stuff without the users consent?

As the PC Pro technician I am, I found this easy to remove but what about someone who doesnt have a clue on how to get rid of this?


Disgraceful, I honestly dont know what your dev team was thinking, version 4.47.1 was perfect, why didnt you just reskin that version instead of screwing up everything? What do I mean by everything?

1: Where is the virtual drive in My Computer gone, why remove it? It was such a useful feature.

2: Taskbar icon removed for some reason.

DTLite Command Line Not Working

Hi,

Could anyone help me with what is wrong here.

I installed DTLite 10 on Windows 2008 but the command line does not work as expected. Every command just launches the GUI

For example:

DTLite.exe -get_count
DTLite.exe -mount, F, "C:\Test.vhd"
DTLite.exe -help

all of the above and any other always result in the same thing, which is launch DTLite window.

I have also tried these on my Windows 8 PC and it is the same thing.

i mounted an image, and tried to install it, but i got this error

"Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\installerdata.xml'.

was my installation of the tools corrupt? i have tried to uninstall it and reinstall with no
luck. I cant install the program....any thoughts?

DT Pro Command Line Throwing Error

I downloaded and installed the 20 days trial of DTPro this morning on two diffeerent systems (Windfows 8 & Windows Server 2008) and since then I have been unable again to get the command line to work on both systems.

DTAgent.exe -help This works

DTAgent.exe -add_hdd F, "C:\Downloads\Test.vhd" (This does not work. Throws error "add_hdd switch syntax error"

DTAgent.exe -add_hdd, "C:\Downloads\Test.vhd" (This does not work too with the same error)

Yet if I mount the vhd file from the GUI it is successful

I previously experienced the same thing with DTLite and it was impossible getting anyone to believe me.

Mounting CUE+WAV file gives "Unrecognized Media or Invalid Format" error

So I've been trying to mount this CUE+WAV on Daemon Tools Lite with no success. Every time I try to mount it it gives me a "Unrecognized Media or Invalid Format" error.
