Version differences - which is right for me?

I am wanting to purchase a full version of Daemon Tools and am struggling trying to figure out which version is best for my needs. I've spent a lot of time reviewing this comparison (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/products/compare) and from the information provided the Daemon Tools Lite Personal is a more powerful/more feature packed than Daemon Tools Pro Advanced and it comes in at $7 cheaper. It also appears that with the exception of USB sticks for Linux and multiple wizards at once, the Ultra version doesn't have anything more/better than the Lite Personal version. This doesn't make much sense to me, so I am wondering if there is something more in the Pro Advanced or Ultra functionality compared to the Lite that isn't identified in that comparison.

All of that to say...
Are there any functionality/technical differences between Lite, Pro Advanced, and Ultra that are *not* identified in the product comparison chart?

So the reason I am wanting/needing this software is primarily for image creation/functions. I do have several games that I am wanting to convert from DVD to ISO (most are DRM/Safe/etc protected) as well as hundreds of DVD videos/movies that I would also like to turn into digital copies. There are a few other functions that I would like to use, but the image creation is my primary goal
1) Is Daemon tools able to overcome this DRM/Safe/copyright stuff and create valid ISO files?
2) Based on #1, which would be the best software package to purchase?
3) Are there any other perks that Ultra has over Pro Advanced that aren't identified on that comparison page? (Ultra/Pro Advanced - Pro Advanced/Lite Personal - etc)

Update from Pro to Ultra impossible?

I'm using DT Pro lifetime license and I'd like to upgrade to Ultra version. However, when entering my licenses page, I can only add more devices to my current license, but cannot really upgrade the program version.

Is that possible?

How to open files in an iso without installation within Deamon tools pro?

Hi,
I used to have a windows 7 home premium laptop which is broken now. I used to have Daemon tools pro version 4 in it. I've driving theory test .iso which i used to open (without installing/installation window) using Daemom pro 4.
As my laptop is broken now, I've created a windows 7 pro virtual machine in my windows 10 pro laptop. I installed Dameon pro version 4 in it. I copied the same driving .iso file into it.
In my old laptop, when i opened the run file, i used get the proper "installed software" window where i could browse through the tests and all.
But in the new laptop, it's not opening the software, instead, it's opening the installation window, where it says the dvd is pirated version and it won't open.

Can you you please let me know how to open the files as if they are installed, instead of opening the installation process? as it's been a long time, i forgot if i have to mark any setting in it.

I can read in the background : Already Installed

That may be the problem ?

However, I uninstalled DTLite 4.49.1, cleaned the registry with CCleaner, cleaned the registry manually using keywords : daemon, dtlite, dtpro.

So how can I erase all traces of DTLite ?

Best Audio Disc Image File Format

I am making some audio CD disk images, and DAEMON Tools has defaulted to the MDX file format. Is this the best option for audio CDs?

It only has MDX, MDS or ISO.
There is no BIN/CUE option, which is what I used to use for audio CDs, and I am pretty sure the ISO format doesn't support audio CDs.

DTAgent.exe command line

Just purchased DAEMON Tools Pro 7.
Using on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Some of the command line options do not seem to be working.

DTAgent.exe -get_letter dt, 0
and
DTAgent.exe -get_count
do not return a result.
Is this a bug.

They are valid commands as listed in the program help - dtagent.exe /help
and the online help - Command line integration | DAEMON Pro Help

DL DVD (8.5 Gb) Support-->Daemon Tools for Mac?

Howdy:

Is it possible to emulate a Dual Layer DVD (8.5 Gb) using Daemon Tools for Mac? I just downloaded the trial version (4.1.227) and it appears to have support for CD's (700 Mb) and DVD's (4.38 Gb).

Is this a limitation of the trial version or does DT for Mac not support 8.5 Gb DL DVD emulation?

Does anyone know of Mac software that does support DL DVD Emulation if DT for Mac does not support this?

Unable to install Daemon Tools Lite 10

Hello,

Here's my problem: I've used Daemon Tools Lite for a while, and now that I've reinstalled my computer, I want to put it back, so I've downloaded the installer (DTLiteInstaller.exe) from this page:
Disk-Tools.com (redirect from https://www.daemon-tools.cc/fra/downloads/dtLite)

But when I launch it, it keeps saying "Download failed".

I've tried to turn off my antivirus and my firewall, and run it as administrator, but it didn't work (and of course, my Internet connexion is fine).

Unable to access image file?

Hello everyone,,

I'm trying to mount a .mdf file, and Daemon Tools Lite is giving me an error that simply says "Unable to access image file". The only other thing I've seen with this error message is from 2006, so I'm thinking it isn't too accurate anymore, and there was no solution in the thread anyways.

I'm on a Windows 7 64bit OS, with Daemon Tools Lite 10.2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DEAMON Tools Lite Setup has stopped working

Hey guys! After I download the installer and run it, after it downloads the setup files and
states 'Setup files are ready. Click Install to continue.' I click install and then I'm confronted
by the error DEAMON Tools Lite Setup has stopped working. I have no idea how to fix it or how to get any further in installing.

Can anyone help?

In past versions of DT, there was the ability to create persistent virtual drives. I have a need to create a SCSI virtual drive, but cannot find a way to do so with first mounting an image.

but I have a bootable usb flash drive, and I want to convert it into an image.
I actually did this once, but I can't remember how.

Hello not sure if this is the right forum but I have DS installed on a number of my devices to test out and so far all the android devices can sync just fine but the Apple iPhone 6's just don't find any of the photo's on the phones.

DT repeatedly creates new drives

I took a look and couldn't find a specific thread for my problem and thusly I am posting it. If a thread for this with a solution already exists, please defer me to it and close this one.

My problem is that when I create one new drive for mounting an ISO after restarting the program or at computer startup it will continue to create more and more drives. Usually more than one at a time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling using power uninstall from iobit in order to completely remove the files associated with the program such as registry and remaining folders/files after a standard uninstall but to no avail. It will always do this. It used to never do this before in older versions.

My currently installed version is v6.2 of DT Pro Advanced and I am running Windows 10 x64. It also won't properly install STDP drivers even though I click to restart after selecting to install it either from fresh install or from toolbar inside of DT.

DAEMON Tools Lite v10.2.0 (with SPTD 1.87) and NHL 2002

I've had a MDX backup image of NHL 2002 for years now, and it's always played fine using DT Lite (the previous versions that is). With the newer versions of the software, its no longer the case; I can mount the disc, run the setup, install the game, but when I try to run the program it does absolutely nothing!. All the files are where their suppose to be but it just won't run. I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit with the latest Windows updates and Hardware drivers and have tried different compatibility settings with the shortcut, but I get the same result every time.

hello,

i paid for daemon tolls lite to not be bothered with this adware crap.

now when i download the latest version my avira antivirus tells me there still is that adware crap in my paid version.

why is daemon tools ruining every reputation they have with this crap?
